Attendance
At Longspee Primary, we believe that consistent, regular, and punctual attendance is fundamental to every child’s success.
Being present every day ensures that pupils can fully engage with learning opportunities, build strong relationships, and make the most of the support available to them. Good attendance is not just a habit—it’s a vital part of achieving academic progress and personal growth.
If a pupil is too unwell to attend school then parents/carers must notify the Academy on the first day of absence before 09:00am by calling 01202 380266 or emailing support@la.weareauthentic.education.
Please provide the reason for the absence, for example "illness" or "hospital appointment" and as much detail as possible.
We work closely with pupils and their parents/carers to improve attendance levels in order to maximise your child's potential. However, should a pupil's attendance fail to improve the Academy may use legal powers, such as penalty notices, to enforce school attendance.
